Fairfield high school is seeking to appoint a permanent part-time Catering Assistant to work 27.5 hours per week from 9.30am –3.30pm (inclusive of a 30 minute unpaid lunch break) Monday to Friday term time only plus 5 Inset days. Some overtime to be agreed with the Business and Operations Manager.
Salary is paid on Point 2, full time equivalent of £20,441 per year. Actual salary for 27.5 hours per week plus 5 Inset Days is £13,012 per year.
The successful candidate will assist the Catering Manager, where necessary with:
• The preparation and serving of food
• Transporting and selling of food items and equipment, complying with EHO temperature control regulations, food hygiene practices
• Assist with setting up and clearing the service counter
• Assist in clearing and cleaning the dining room at the end of relevant periods
• Assist in clearing, cleaning, washing up within the kitchen, including ‘deep cleaning’
• Assist in operating the tills and the cashless system and the handling of cash when required
