An opportunity has arisen at Fairfield High School for a part time Director of Individual Development with SENDCO responsibilities – this will be a job share, 0.4, two days per week. There is the possibility following interview for the right candidate to fulfil 0.6 teaching days in addition to the 0.4 Director of Individual Development, SENDCO role (which does come with some teaching allocation).

We are looking for someone who wants to be part of a collaborative and ambitious team, and who shares our aspirational vision for all our students. As leader of our SEND provision, first and foremost, we are looking for someone with the ability to identify and develop in others, excellent teaching of students with SEND. You would be working with an established LSA team, SEND Manager and Deputy SENDCo.

You will have excellent people management skills, emotional intelligence and empathy which will enable you to get the best from colleagues for the benefit of our students and their families. For the right candidate, there will be opportunities to contribute to the organisation at Senior Leadership level. Regardless of experience, the candidate appointed would be expected to contribute regularly to SLT meetings and lead whole staff training. Colleagues from all phases of the education system (primary, secondary, post 16), need apply.
