SCIENCE TECHNICIAN
Salary: Grade 3 SCP 17 - £17,49.56 per annum (FTE - £20,092)
Hours of Work: 37 hours per week, 40 weeks* per year**
*40 weeks per year allows for Term Time, PD Days plus a further 1 week per year to be worked during school holidays on agreed days

We are looking to appoint a permanent Science Technician to join our vibrant and driven Science Faculty. Practical work brings science to life and allows the students to get a hands on experience of scientific concepts and is a key aspect of teaching and learning within the Science Faculty.
Experience of working in a laboratory setting and/or in an educational setting is essential, along with a relevant science qualification. The right candidate will be given support and training to ensure they are able to fulfil the role of Science Technician.
It is essential that the successful candidate will be a team-player, have a calm and organised personality, a flexible approach and have the ability to cope with a wide range of tasks. They will need to have good communication skills and be prepared to talk to students, teachers and colleagues, providing accurate information at all times..
The successful applicant would benefit from a knowledge of using Microsoft products and have English and Maths GCSE Grade C or above
