TEACHER OF HISTORY (0.8 FTE)

Salary: MPS/UPS

Contract Basis:  Temporary Maternity Cover; required from January 2021

We are looking to appoint an outstanding Teacher of History. You will be teaching History, but a willingness and ability to offer a second Humanities subject e.g. A Level Politics or KS3 PRE (Philosophy, Religion & Ethics) would be valuable. You will be joining a hard-working, well-qualified and very friendly group of teachers who want the Humanities subjects to be seen as lively and exciting. We are proud of the way we work together as a team, sharing good practice, writing schemes of work together in departments and supporting each other. We are at the forefront of developing the use of new teaching and learning strategies to enhance student progress, which makes the department a very stimulating and enjoyable place to work and learn.

Farlingaye High School is a popular and successful, 11-18 school, located in Woodbridge, a pleasant market town situated on the River Deben in Suffolk and just 7 miles from Ipswich. We are a creative school with excellent resources, lovely students and great results.   

We are part of East Anglian Schools Trust (EAST) alongside Kesgrave High School and Bungay High School. We have have been graded outstanding in our last two Ofsted reports and have “Teaching School” status which allows us to improve teaching and learning.
