Farnborough College of Technology (FCoT), a highly successful, inclusive and ambitious Further and Higher Education, is seeking the services of a contracted Clerk to the Corporation who will ensure the effective operation of the College’s governance framework, providing independent advice and administrative support to the Corporation and its Committees.
This is a key role providing advice, guidance, and practical support to the Chair of Governors, Committee Chairs, Governors and the Accountable Officer. You must be a trustworthy, collegiate and diplomatic individual, capable of providing effective administrative support to the governing body and to ensure the proper and efficient conduct of Corporation business as well as promoting excellence in College governance.
FCoT is fully integrating the use of digital technology and artificial intelligence across its governance and operational environments. The College increasingly operates a paperless governance model, with volunteer Governors as end users at the forefront of system design, accessibility, and usability.
The successful candidate will therefore be expected to embrace and actively leverage technology and AI‑enabled tools to support the efficient production of high quality minutes, agendas, and governance records, and to maintain secure, accessible and well structured digital governance systems that enhance the effectiveness of the Board and its Committees.
This role will therefore particularly suit a governance professional who combines strong statutory and advisory expertise with a progressive, digitally confident mindset, and who is motivated by enabling a highly effective, modern Board and its Committees.
