As part of our teaching team you will have IMIAL or City & Guilds qualifications to Advanced Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance. You will have knowledge of the new apprenticeship Standards, Maths & English at Level 2, together with recent industrial experience. You will also have the drive and passion to inspire young people to excel in developing their trade skills and careers.
Although teaching, assessing and verification qualifications are desirable, enthusiasm and professional approach to your work are highly valued. In addition, you need to be an enthusiastic and motivated individual who can engage with FE students, in the classroom and online, to ensure that they reach their full potential.
Farnborough College of Technology would welcome applications from candidates with industry experience who are looking to move into education, but may not have worked in a teaching role before. The College will support candidates to qualify as a teacher within two years.
