The successful candidate will have had experience of school leadership, and used coaching and mentoring to have a positive impact on the quality of teaching and learning as well as pupil outcomes. This role will have a 0.5 FTE classroom teaching commitment.

We are looking for someone who:

• Provides consistently excellent classroom provision, resulting in high levels of pupil engagement and progress.

• Is dedicated to influencing and leading high-quality teaching and learning, through coaching and mentoring of staff, by identifying, implementing and sustaining school improvement priorities and strategies.

• Is able to inspire and motivate pupils and staff to strive for continuous improvement and outstanding outcomes for all. Leading by example, embedding excellent practice and committed to meeting the learning needs of all pupils.

• Has a proven track record of raising pupil outcomes, especially in EYFS and Key Stage 1.

• Develops children’s potential through exciting, life-enhancing, learning opportunities.

• Is flexible in their approach, open to new ideas and committed to working in partnership with others, within and beyond their own school.

 • Has enthusiasm, integrity, personal impact and presence, as well as excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.

• Shows excitement by thinking innovatively and working as part of an effective team and confident to embrace change.

• Has a passion for wider reading, continuing professional development and draws on research outcomes and other sources of external evidence to inform own practice and that of colleagues.

• Practises their commitment to a culture of safeguarding and child protection.
