Flax Bourton Church of England Primary School is a one form entry school set within the North Somerset countryside. The school is approximately five miles from the city of Bristol and serves the villages of Flax Bourton and Barrow Gurney as well as the surrounding areas. We hold a strong sense of community here and partner with our families and the local church.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly skilled teacher. The year group will be confirmed.

The successful applicant will need to be able to show how they possess the skills and attributes to inspire pupils and ensure strong outcomes, continually improving their own practice in order to enable every child to be the best that they can be.

They will also need to work well as part of a team and ensure the class get a quality first teaching throughout their week at our school.

Do you have…

• a proven record of strong classroom practice including the ability to critically reflect and evaluate your own teaching?

• high expectations for all children in your care?

• a commitment to inclusive practice and ensuring the social and emotional wellbeing of children?

• the ability to inspire, motivate and engage all children?

• a strong understanding of formative assessment and can use this to inform teaching?

• experience of being an excellent team player and role model for the whole school community?
