Forge Wood Primary School are looking for a Learning Assistant to join our school. You could be supporting a child on a 1:1 basis, or a class teacher in a class of up to 30 children. What we're looking for:
- Someone to assist in preparing the classroom, receiving children and clearing away
- Help with planning activities and preparing materials to help the child access the curriculum
- To support the children in class, group and individual activities, indoors and outdoors.
- Assist in monitoring the child's progress, assessing achievement and recording results and observations, sharing outcomes with the class teacher
- A can do approach and flexibility
- Knowledge of SEND and supporting pupils with additional needs, is desirable
- A confident and clear communicator with parents.
- An excellent role model to children, colleagues and parents, exemplifying our core principle of kindness
- A positive, open-minded professional actively supportive of the ethos, vision and values of the school
- A member of the team who can build strong relationships with parents, children and staff
About Forge Wood Primary School
Our School sits within a newly established cluster of schools, overseen by a Regional Director. Along with Forge Wood our cluster includes the following other schools; Southgate Primary School, Kilnwood Vale Primary School, Greenway Junior School, Salfords Primary School, Lime Tree Primary School, Merstham Primary School.

The Details
Hours: 33.5 hours per week
Monday, Tues, Thurs, Fri 8.30 - 3.30 Wed 8.30 - 4.30
Term Time: 39 weeks per year (including INSET days).
Salary: GLF Associate 2, point 1 Actual Salary, £17,247 (FTE £21,544)
