The Constellation Trust CEO & Board of Directors are seeking to appoint to the following post:

Assistant Headteacher with responsibility as Head of Inclusion

Full time, Permanent

Salary: L6-L10

We are seeking to recruit an Assistant Head of School. The successful candidate will be the strategic lead for Inclusion and SEND across the school and ensure effective provision is in place for all groups of pupils.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

- Taking a leading role in raising standards and ensuring highly effective teaching and learning throughout the school.

- Implementing and monitoring provision for children with Special Education Needs.

- Supporting the Leadership Team with the strategic direction and the day to day management of the school

- Leading on pupil premium spending and being a champion for disadvantaged pupils.

- Co-ordinating provision for looked after pupils.

- Co-ordinating provision for pupils with English as an additional language.

Francis Askew Primary School has around 420 pupils on roll and is situated in the West of the city of Kingston Upon Hull in the community of Gipsyville. The school moved into a new building in January 2016 with modern facilities and generous outdoor space. The school was last inspected by Ofsted in Summer 2019 and was judged to require improvement. Since the last inspection, a new Head and Deputy have been appointed and we are looking for someone who will work in partnership with the newly formed leadership team to help lead the school on the next stage of its journey, to ensure the best possible experiences and outcomes for every child.

The school is part of The Constellation Trust, which provides students with more than merely academic success. We offer our learners a broad range of experiences which seek to build their confidence, open their minds and equip them for life in an ever-changing world.

The Constellation Trust consists of Appleton, Bricknell, Francis Askew, Paisley, Rokeby Park, Stoneferry and Victoria Dock primary schools, Sirius Academy West, Sirius Academy North, The College@Sirius, Blueprint Alliance and Rise Academy, which are all based in Hull.

The Constellation Trust is also a Registered Apprenticeship Provider, delivering training apprenticeships predominantly in the educational sector.

The successful candidate will:
