Wellsway School is looking for two inspirational Deputy Headteachers who aspire to be Principals in the future. The roles will have responsibility for specific strategic areas, which will be decided based on the experience, interest and skills of the appointed candidates and the needs of the school.
The successful candidates will draw on their existing strengths and have proven track records that demonstrate significant school improvement over time in outcomes and performance. Quite simply, people who are able to “build the future” for our wonderful young people.
In addition, the post holders will have the opportunity to work closely with IKB Academy and be key members of the campus senior leadership team. The Deputy Headteachers will have significant whole school leadership opportunities across both schools; supporting colleagues and encouraging innovation will also be an important element of the role.

Futura Learning Partnership is a partnership of schools which span the Bristol - Keynsham - Bath area that are working together to provide a high quality educational experience for all students in their care and be a truly inclusive provider of 3-18 education in the area. We are merging with The Clevedon Learning Trust as of 1 March 2023 to form a new larger Trust comprising of 28 schools, serving 11,600 pupils, located in Bath & North East Somerset, South Gloucestershire, South Bristol, North Somerset and Somerset. The successful applicant will be part of the wider trust leadership team, with the opportunity to undertake school improvement work across the Trust.
