Clerk to Governors

Start: ASAP

Location: Bristol

Contract: 97 hours per year, per post, with flexibility to attend and support meetings as required.

Term: Permanent, All Year Round

Futura Learning Partnership is a partnership of schools which span the Bristol - Keynsham - Bath area that are working together to provide a high quality educational experience for all students in their care and be a truly inclusive provider of 4 to19 education in the area.

We are looking for clerks to minute Academy Governance Committee (AGC) meetings at some of our schools. Experience is not necessary, but basic IT, a good standard of written English, and administration skills will be required.

Full training and support is provided, and you will be part of a trust wide clerking team. We are recruiting for a clerk for three of our academies in Bath, Keynsham, Bitton and South Bristol areas. Candidates are invited to state in their applications whether they are interested in one, two or three (or more) posts. There is also a possibility that these posts may expand to cover more schools.

In return we offer:

  • A competitive salary
  • An opportunity to work in a supportive team from whom you can learn, develop and grow
  • An energised and professional working environment
  • Benefits include; pension scheme, discounted sports centre/gym membership, free wellbeing support & medical cover, free on-site parking, cycle to work scheme

This post is also suitable for hybrid working, with the administrative work outside of meetings able to be undertaken from home. Although hours are to be worked flexibly, the vast majority of work will take place in term time (around the six annual AGC meetings per school). For comparison purposes, the 97 hours per year average out to about 2.5 hours/week in term time.
