Your Role in Building Brighter Futures
As Clerk to the Local Governance Committee at Wellsway School, you will play a key role in supporting governance and contributing to Futura’s mission of ‘Building the brightest future for all, enabling every individual to flourish.’ We are looking for an individual who is passionate about living our values and making a positive impact on our school community.

As Clerk to Governors, you will:
Provide advice and guidance to the Local Governance Committee (LGC) on governance, constitutional and procedural matters.
Ensure effective administration of meetings, including preparing agendas, circulating papers, and taking accurate minutes.
Maintain statutory records, including governor membership, training, and declarations of interest.
Support recruitment and induction of new governors.
Work within safeguarding and data protection requirements at all times.
What You’ll Bring to Futura
We are looking for a professional, organised, and proactive Clerk who:
Has a good standard of education (A Level desirable).
Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrates strong planning and organisational abilities.
Is confident using IT systems (Outlook, MS Office).
Works well as part of a team and can manage priorities effectively.
Understands the importance of confidentiality and safeguarding.

Key Information:
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Part-time – 97 hours per year.
This includes attendance at six Local Governing Committee (LGC) meetings per year. Governors may also be invited to attend Curriculum Review Meetings, Governors’ Disciplinary Committee meetings, and school events, as required.
