We are looking for a dynamic and innovative leader to lead an established and already very successful humanities team. Applications are welcomed from those with a proven track record of success in middle leadership, in terms of making an impact on results and improving teaching and learning, and from those aspiring to further their career in senior leadership or towards headship through active participation in the Extended Senior Leadership Team.
You will need to be committed to our vision of becoming an outstanding school and be a passionate and strategic lead for humanities across the school; driving teaching and learning forward to support the team to deliver consistently high standards for students of all abilities. Duties will include monitoring and evaluating student progress, with specific responsibility for developing collaborative partnerships. This role provides an exciting opportunity to help shape the provision for the full range of humanities subjects in our school whilst benefitting from working with practitioners across the Futura Learning Partnership to share best practice and resources.
If you are a highly effective leader, able to form excellent educational relationships with students and staff and are confident at leading on the development of challenging and engaging schemes of learning, we would love to hear from you. The ability to teach at least one of our humanities curriculum subjects to GCSE and A Level is essential and the ability to teach a second desirable.
