We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic practitioner who, under the guidance of the Director of Mathematics and Computing, will lead Computing across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 at Wellsway School and IKB Academy. Applications are welcomed from both current postholders and ambitious teachers with a proven track record of success and the desire to be an outstanding leader. This role provides an exciting opportunity to help shape the provision of Computing in our school, an area that has grown rapidly in recent years. The successful candidate will also benefit from working with practitioners across the trust to share best practice and resources.
You will need to be committed to our vision of becoming an outstanding school and to supporting the Mathematics and Computing team to deliver consistently high standards for students of all abilities. Responsibilities will include monitoring and evaluating student progress and leading the development of teaching, learning and assessment across Years 10 to 13. As a leader in our school, you will work with postholders from other curriculum areas in developing and improving teaching and learning and will be responsible for ensuring that every student enjoys an excellent experience across their Computing and IT lessons.
If you are a highly effective teacher, able to form excellent educational relationships with students and staff and are confident at leading on the development of challenging and engaging schemes of learning, we would love to hear from you. The ability to teach Computing to GCSE and A Level is essential.
