Your Role in Building Brighter Futures

As an Inclusion Assistant at Clevedon School, you will play a key role in contributing to the delivery of Futura’s mission statement of “Building the brightest future for all, enabling every individual to flourish”. Purpose of the role of an Inclusion Assistant (see the JD for accountabilities):

The postholder will work as a member of Clevedon School Student Support Department which supports students with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to access, achieve and enjoy education and school life.

Your main responsibility is to act as a keyworker for students with SEND by working in partnership with the student, their parents, school staff and other professionals.

 You will work with students directly and indirectly both in and out of class to support their learning, communication, social, emotional, mental health and independence ensuring they are fully included, safe, happy and reach their potential in all areas of development.

We are looking for a motivated and supportive Inclusion Assistant to work with SEN children who will:

Have a sound Level of Secondary Education

Be able to motivate and build rapport with learners whilst encouraging independence

Operate with integrity

Have energy and enthusiasm with a flexible approach to work

Have excellent written and verbal communication skills

Foster a positive relationship with the child’s family, communicating regularly

Be a champion for the child

Demonstrate a passion for creating a supportive and inclusive environment for all members of our school community.

Hours: Full time 37 hours per week, Term Time Only plus 1 week
