Location: Bridge Farm Primary School, Whitchurch, Bristol, BS14 0LL

Contract: Part-time, 32.5 hrs. per week, term time only +7 INSET days

Term: Fixed term until 31.12.2024 subject to ongoing funding and pupil remaining at school

Bridge Farm Primary School wish to appoint three Teaching Assistants to provide 1:1 support to SEN children at school with their learning. Each role would be suitable for someone who loves working with children and has experience in this either through a previous role or volunteering in a school.

The Role

You will support a child to engage in learning activities within the mainstream classroom, and outside of the classroom where needed. You will encourage them to take pride in their achievements, be confident in group participation, and in sharing ideas.

We are looking for:

A person who can build a strong rapport with children. You will be a positive role model for the child, supporting them in achieving their best. You will work with the child to help them to engage in their learning, ensuring that they feel cared for and listened to. You will set boundaries and routine and respond to the child’s needs with movement breaks or sensory time if necessary.
