The Meadows Primary School wish to appoint a Teaching Assistant to support one of our children in Year 5 alongside the other learners in class. and. We need an outstanding TA who has skills in supporting children with Special Educational Needs to join our dedicated team.

The Role

You will support the child to engage in learning activities within the mainstream classroom, and outside of the classroom where needed. You will encourage them to take pride in their achievements, be confident in group participation, and in sharing ideas. You will also support them with their interactions with peers at break and lunch time. The hours you will be required are from 10.15am – 3.45pm Monday to Friday.

We are looking for:

A person who can build a strong rapport with children. You will be a positive role model for the child, supporting them in achieving their best. You will work with the child to help them to engage in their learning, ensuring that they feel cared for and listened to. You will set boundaries and routine, and respond to the child’s needs with movement breaks or sensory time.
