Social Emotional and Mental Health Assistant

Start: ASAP

Salary: Grade 4 SCP 7 - 8 (£22,369 - £22,777 FTE)

(Actual pro rata salary £16,375 - £16,674)

Location: Keynsham (near Bristol/Bath)

Contract: 32.10 hours

Term: Permanent, Term Time Only plus 2 INSET days

Futura Learning Partnership is at an exciting stage in its development. The Trust currently comprises thirteen schools with more planning to join and is moving towards its vision of being a truly inclusive provider of 4-19 education in East Bristol and Bath.

We are looking to appoint a suitably qualified individual who will, under the guidance of the Director of Inclusion, support students with additional needs and who will also work alongside the Social Emotional and Mental Health Manager in helping a growing number of students with mental health needs. The successful candidate will work within our dedicated Inclusion centre as well as in the classroom with individual or small groups of students within a growing and highly motivated Inclusion Team.

If you have the ability to relate well to children and adults, an understanding of child development and recent relevant experience of working with young people, along with excellent IT and administration skills, we would love to hear from you.

This new and exciting role is particularly suitable for people who are thinking of a career in teaching, education, social care or psychology. We would also be prepared to consider a job share for this role.
