We would welcome applicants for both main scale and those looking for a middle leadership position.

We have an exciting opportunity for a teacher of Food to join a large and well-resourced curriculum team. Food is our most popular subject at GCSE with high up-take. Design technology is extremely popular at both GCSE and A Level, and we offer a wide range of subjects. Each subject area (product design, textiles, food, art, engineering, construction, creative technology and child development) consists of at least 2 specialist rooms with a compliment of specialist resources as well as our own computer suite. The large curriculum team consists of experienced teachers and 3 technicians who will always offer help and guidance to make staff feel welcome and supported both within the team and the school.

We are looking for a driven and well-qualified (inclusive of ECT’s) teacher of Food who, under the support and guidance of the Director of Design, Art and Technology, will assist with the development of Food in the school. We welcome innovative and creative ideas and enjoy giving DT teachers the autonomy to teach to their strengths whilst also contributing to their professional development. Applications are welcomed from ECT’s and those with a proven track record of success in the classroom. The ability to teach Food is essential. Please refer to the candidate pack for further information about the curriculum team.

As a teacher in our school, you will be responsible for ensuring that every student enjoys an excellent experience in your lessons and will work closely with the rest of the team in developing and delivering engaging Schemes of Learning. Existing schemes of learning and resources are all in place for the successful candidate to use. We also welcome hearing new ideas should you wish to develop your own projects.

If you are a highly effective teacher, able to form excellent educational relationships with students and staff and are confident in the development of engaging schemes of learning, we would love to hear from you.

We are very proud of our extensive CPD offer and value the development of all members of staff and if you join us as an ECT, you will benefit from our successful and supportive Futura Learning Partnership ECT Induction Programme with an experienced, fully trained mentor who will support you every step of the way. Our CPD offer is tailored to individual need, and we have structures in place to support staff at every career stage, such as our recently qualified teacher and our aspiring and current middle leadership programmes.

In return we offer:

- A competitive salary

- A full and varied CPD programme offering teaching and leadership development for our staff

- An opportunity to work in a supportive team from whom you can learn, develop and grow

- Wider opportunities to be involved across the Futura Learning Partnership

- An energised and professional working environment
