Location: Bridge Farm Primary School, Whitchurch (near Bristol/Bath)

Contract: 12.5 hours per weeks, 2.5 hours each day (Term Time Only)

Term: Fixed Term until 31/08/2024


Bridge Farm Primary School wish to appoint a Teaching Assistant to support children at school with their learning. This role would be suitable for someone who loves working with children and has experience in this either through a previous role or volunteering in a school.

The Role

You will support children to engage in learning activities within the mainstream classroom, and outside of the classroom where needed. You will encourage them to take pride in their achievements, be confident in group participation, and in sharing ideas.

We are looking for:

A person who can build a strong rapport with children. You will be a positive role model for the child, supporting them in achieving their best. You will work with the child to help them to engage in their learning, ensuring that they feel cared for and listened to. You will set boundaries and routine, and respond to the children’s needs with movement breaks or sensory time if necessary.
