You will provide specialist teaching to secure high quality teaching and learning for pupils with DLD across the school. You will support the language needs of children with DLD while also supporting their academic progress, helping pupils to access a mainstream curriculum.

You will maintain high expectations of pupils’ progress and attainment. You will work closely with the SENDCO and the on-site Speech and Language therapists to ensure that language targets can be supported through classroom teaching, so that pupils get a language-rich education that supports their learning needs. There will be consideration of best practice within the classroom and use of evidenced-based approaches to ensure positive outcomes for children.
