Salary: £25,239-26,738 per annum, dependent on experience
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full time, 36 hours per week, term time only plus 20 days
Required: September 2025
Streatham & Clapham High School is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Caretaker and Minibus Driver with a D1 licence to join our busy premises team.
This dual role involves safely transporting students to and from school as part of our extensive transport service, which operates across nine routes using a range of school vehicles including minibuses and a seven-seater car.
Alongside driving duties, you’ll contribute to the day-to-day upkeep of the school by supporting site security, cleanliness and safety.
This is a term-time only position, plus 20 additional days, working 36+ hours per week on a split shift basis to support both morning and afternoon transport routes. While availability at key times is essential, there is flexibility in how the daytime hours between shifts are arranged, which will be discussed and agreed with the successful candidate. Overtime is also available to support school events.
We’re looking for a friendly, proactive individual with a D1 licence (or equivalent/higher) and minibus driving experience, who brings a practical, hands-on approach and is ready to take on a variety of caretaking responsibilities—such as basic maintenance, minor repairs, and helping to maintain a safe and welcoming school environment as part of a supportive team.
