Salary: GDST Regional Support Grade 2 (£25,388 pro rata ie £9,225.07)
Portsmouth High School has a vacancy for a term time only minibus driver. This is a permanent part time position with a split shift during school term time only. The job would particularly suit someone who enjoys working with children and wants a rewarding role with free time in the middle of the day. This role could also be fulfilled as a job share if you would rather work only the mornings or afternoons.
A minibus driving licence is an essential part of the role. However, for the right candidate, we would consider a full car licence holder who is willing to work towards the D1 licence. You would need to commit to a further 2 years in the post on completion of successful training.
This is a great hands-on role and a chance to be an ambassador for Portsmouth High School and the GDST Trust. You will build supportive and professional relationships with the children and their parents/carers. In addition to driving, responsibilities include conducting safety checks.
The salary is paid over 12 months and includes holiday pay.
