Streatham & Clapham High School (SCHS) seeks to appoint a dynamic and inspirational teacher with a passion for Computer Science, with an enthusiasm for Design Technology and Engineering, to join our thriving and forward thinking school community..

In this role, you will teach Computer Science from Years 7 to 11, with the opportunity to teach A Level if suitably qualified. Alongside this, you will play an active role in supporting the teaching of Design Technology and Engineering at Key Stage 3 and 4.

This is a key appointment within a school that is deeply committed to advancing girls and young women in STEM. You will also be involved in preparing students for university applications and degree apprenticeships, while helping to build strong relationships with academic and industry partners.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified teacher with a strong academic background in a relevant subject and a track record of successful teaching at GCSE and/or A Level. We are looking for someone who embodies our values of kindness, compassion, integrity, and respect.

The Departments

The DT/Engineering and Computer Science departments are an intrinsic part of our commitment to women in STEM and members of both departments share a vision that promotes excellence in outcomes and inspires passion for the subjects.

At GCSE we deliver Edexcel Computer Science (1CP2), AQA Engineering (8852), and AQA Product Design (8552) with around two-thirds of pupils achieving grades 9-7. Computer Science benefits from a brand-new refurbishment, including a podcasting booth. The DT department is being further improved this summer.
