Glebelands School is looking for a teacher of Boys PE who also has the ability to teach Science or Maths. You may already have experience in delivering a second subject or just have a strong academic background and be willing to learn alongside delivering PE.

The PE department is strong, supportive and well-established, comprised of 3 full time staff and 3 part time staff. The department offers a broad and balanced core curriculum alongside GCSE PE and Cambridge National qualifications in KS4. GCSE results have been consistently excellent in terms of attainment and progress.

The department benefits from a large sports hall, extensive playing fields, six tennis courts, a gymnasium, weights/fitness room and brand-new full size floodlit 3G pitch.

The successful candidate will be passionate about developing physical literacy and enabling students to improve their fundamental motor skills across a range of activities.

We are looking for someone who is willing to teach Physical education in a variety of ways which enable students to develop their physical, social, emotional and cognitive skills.

We want to employ an excellent communicator who demonstrates enthusiasm for physical activity and sport and is a role model for young people.

Applicants should be willing to teach a wide range of activities, be dedicated, enthusiastic and creative. They will be a flexible, team player, committed to supporting departmental colleagues and they will readily contribute to the wider life of the department and school through extra-curricular clubs and fixtures.
