Your opportunity

We are looking for an Apprentice Finance Administrator, who will work as part of the Trust finance team to offer support to our Trust Purchase Ledger and Trust Banking team in their day to day processes. The successful candidate will undertake a range of duties including processing invoices, chasing payment, raising purchases orders, dealing with suppliers and resolving payment queries. The role will require someone who is organised, approachable and works well as part of a team.

Applicants must be willing to commit to the apprenticeship course that will run for 18 months, where you will learn on the job and have 20% dedicated study time. Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship you will have earned a Level 3 Assistant Accountant, and gain an AAT qualification.

The Assistant Accountant Level 3 course provides learners with the knowledge and skills required to become a certified accounting professional. The course is expertly tailored to the job role of an Assistant Accountant and will teach you the skills required to assist with day to day financial activities such as data entry and month end management accounts and/or year-end financial statements. The training we deliver will teach you how to process quality and accurate information by applying business knowledge and ethical standards to real-world practices. The Assistant Accountant Level 3 course creates a concrete platform for professional development within the accounting sector.

The successful candidate will be based in our Head Office in Banstead.

What we are looking for

As the successful Finance Administrator you will:

  • Be able to multitask in an environment where priorities can frequently change
  • Have strong IT skills, in particular Microsoft Excel and Word, with the ability to pick up IT packages quickly to provide support to colleagues
  • Have excellent organisation and administration skills
  • Have strong interpersonal skills and be a team player

The Details

Salary: £12,000 FTE

Hours of work: 36 hours a week, 52 weeks of the year
