We have a great opportunity for an efficient, organised an experienced person to support our children at Cherry Fields School within the Banbury Cluster of GLF schools, through delivering planned lessons in the role of Learning assistant, with additional cover supervisor responsibilities for the first year, at which point you will have the opportunity to apply for further cover supervision roles or revert to a 32.5 hr a week LA position.

This role is split for the first academic year as 32.5 hours per week, consisting of 3.5 days / 22.75 hours (0.7FTE) worked as a generalist LA and 1.5 days/9.75 hours (0.3FTE) worked as Cover Supervisor. This is a term time position + INSET days. (39 weeks)

The Cover Supervisor will support with the smooth operation of the school through delivering planned lessons. Responsibilities include delivering lessons based on pre-prepared work to a class, managing the classroom environment to promote good behaviour for learning, and liaising with teaching colleagues on their return to promote good continuity for the children.

Adaptability, resilience and the ability to think on your feet are essential in this varied and evolving role, as will an ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people.

The Details

School: The Banbury Cluster of Schools, initially based at Cherry Fields 

Start Date: September 2021

Salary: £14,507 actual - Split salary – 22.75pw hours at Associate 2 point 1 for LA time £9,731 actual (£17,900-£21,000 FTE)

                                                                   9.75pw hours at Associate 3, point 1 £4,776 actual (£20,500-£24,000 FTE) 

Hours: Total of 32.5 hours/week, 39 weeks per year (term time +1 week)

Contract: Permanent LA with Cover supervision element fixed term for one year. LA salary after that will be circa £14,000 actual.

Job Expires: Monday 21st June 9am
