GLF Schools are seeking an ambitious, dynamic and innovative Director to lead our Teaching School Hub across West Sussex.

The successful candidate must have a proven track record of direct experience of leading a significant aspect of a Teaching School Hub accountability strand (such as ITT, ECF or NPQs).

Your Opportunity

The Director of the Teaching School Hub will have leadership responsibility for the direction of, and accountability for, all aspects of the West Sussex Teaching School Hub working. The Director will work with key stakeholders, including the Primary and Secondary Directors of Education. The Director will quickly establish collaborative and impactful working relationships with internal and external partners, building on existing infrastructure to ensure that the Teaching School Hub has clarity of vision, strategy, and ethos that will reflect the GLF Schools values of Respect, Inclusivity, Integrity, and Kindness.

Teaching School Hubs (TSHs) are school-led centres of excellence in professional development, delivering training and support to teachers and school leaders at every stage of their career. TSHs deliver the 'golden thread' reforms and are at the forefront of the national professional development infrastructure. They play a significant role in delivering the Early Career Framework (ECF), National Professional Qualifications (NPQs), school-based Initial Teacher Training (ITT) and have a role in signing off early career teachers' induction.   Accountable to the Education Directors and Trust Board, the Teaching School Hub Director will work with schools and partnership schools to ensure a strong pipeline of teachers into the profession.

Directors are strategic thinkers as well as operational leads, with the ability to consider the bigger picture across the wider business. They must be resilient, astute, responsive to change and have the courage to deliver challenge whilst maintaining operational improvement as well as financial stability, thus fulfilling the Trust’s strategic aims.

At GLF Schools, we strive for an inclusive environment where staff, children and students are comfortable to express their own identity, should they wish, in which diversity and inclusion is of mutual benefit for everyone.
