Warren Mead Infant School is actively seeking a 1:1 Learning Assistant to work with a child with Down's Syndrome, and to play a key role in supporting them with their learning.
The successful individual will support the Class Teacher in the teaching and welfare of the assigned individual, ensuring they attain the targets set. You will also support the school improvement plan led by the Headteacher, whilst promoting the well-being of staff and children in the school.
You will be working 1:1 with a child in Year 2 who has Down's Syndrome. Previous experience is essential and additional bespoke training will be offered to those that have a passion & a dedication to educating SEN students. It is essential the successful candidate has experience with SEN children (Down's Syndrome ideally), with a calm, confident and resilient personality.

Hours: 8:30am – 3.30pm Monday & Tuesday (13 hours a week), Term time only
Contract: Fixed Term
Salary: Associate 2 - £17,900
Pro rata salary: £5,568 (based on 13 hours a week)
Start date: 16th November 2020
