Are you looking to develop your career and take on a Cluster wide role?

We have a bespoke opportunity for someone who has had experience as a school business leader or a senior people administrator to support a growing cluster of schools to achieve the highest outcomes for its children.

Your opportunity

Reporting to the Regional People Partner and linking into the Regional Business, Finance and School teams within the cluster, this role demands a person who has strong administrative, organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to plan their own workload and work to tight deadlines.

You will take responsibility for ensuring that all people administration across the cluster has been effectively undertaken, collate and report on people data, communicate with finance colleagues to support accurate workforce planning and provide first line people support to the schools across the cluster where appropriate.

We require someone that has the ability to maintain regular and effective communication with a range of colleagues, ensuring confidentiality at all times. Ideally, the successful candidate will have experience working within education perhaps as a school business leader or as a senior people administrator.

Whilst this post may be based in any of our schools in the Didcot and Banbury Cluster; we support colleagues to work flexibly, and this role will also allow for remote working as appropriate to meet operational needs. An important aspect of the role will be to build positive relationships with each of our schools, and therefore a willingness and ability to travel across the cluster to support this will be essential.

About the Didcot/Banbury Cluster

Consisting of six schools, the Didcot/Banbury cluster has a collaborative approach towards working; this means the schools can work closely together to provide an outstanding educational experience to the local communities.

The schools benefit from being able to share resources and support each other where needed. It will also allow for more opportunities for career progression across the cluster and give you the chance to enhance your professional development.

Hardwick is a fantastic, established one form entry primary school and William Morris is an outstanding, one form entry primary school. Longford Park (Nursery to Year 4), Cherry Fields (Nursery to Year 1) and Aureus Primary (Nursery-Year 5) are exciting, new build schools. Manor Primary School based in Didcot is a two form entry primary with over 350 pupils.

  • has high levels of integrity with the ability to maintain confidentiality and professional relationships at work
  • is a confident communicator, with excellent interpersonal skills
  • can be flexible, has a calm approach and a ‘can-do’ attitude, and is comfortable working at pace with multiple priorities
  • a good awareness and understanding of People administration, to ensure compliance with regulation and procedures
