We are looking for committed individuals from the local community, and from all walks of life and backgrounds to join our Schools Standards Board. We are looking for those who can share their viewpoints, experience, expertise, skills and fresh ideas to enhance the opportunities for our children and families within the community.
We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for you to join our School Standards Board (SSB) at Banstead Infants School for a four year period. As an SSB member, you will contribute to and monitor the school’s development plan, which is focused on the key improvement priorities for the school. SSBs are also the Trust Board’s interface with key stakeholders: parents, staff and the community. You will be involved in gathering and responding to feedback from parents and staff, and developing and maintaining community links for the school.
SSB members provide regular feedback to the Trust Board on the performance of their school and the feedback from stakeholders, contributing to the overall improvement of the Trust. SSBs also have the opportunity to influence the strategy of the Trust as a whole.
Excellent training and support is provided and you don't need education experience.
About Banstead Infants School
Banstead Infant School is a school within GLF Schools. There are 270 children in the school ranging from four to seven years old. We believe that by working in close partnership with other schools our children, staff and school communities benefit from excellent and inspirational teaching, learning and leadership.
We embrace a ‘Learning without Limits’ ethos. We believe in the potential of every child so all the children are given the opportunity to develop the capacity to surprise themselves and those around them. They are taught to challenge themselves to build confidence and resilience. We ‘teach to the top’ to provide models of excellence, ensuring that support is given for those children who need it.
At Banstead Infant School we give the opportunity and challenge lead children to become resilient, independent and curious learners. Children feel safe to take risks and their ideas are valued and respected. Our broad and balanced education creates a culture that promotes caring and responsible citizens who gain a strong sense of self belief, the confidence to succeed and a life-long love of learning.
