Are you in search of a rewarding role supporting both teachers and students? We are looking to recruit an outstanding Science Technician who is able to assist in the efficient running of our science laboratories.
Merstham Park School is looking to appoint a conscientious and dedicated Science Technician to provide technical and learning support to teaching staff and to our students. This role will be well suited for candidates who are looking to work with students to advise and guide them safely so that their learning in Science is safe and enjoyable.
This position can be part time (22.5 hours a week, 39 weeks of the year) with Merstham Park School or it can be full time with an additional 13.5 hours worked at de Stafford School in Caterham. This will be based on the preference of the successful candidate.

What we are looking for
We are looking for applicants that meet the following criteria:
• Ability to plan and prioritise a range of regular and irregular tasks within specific deadlines.
• Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to follow strict Health and Safety Regulations.
• Good knowledge of Google Suite and Microsoft Office programs - Excel, Word, Outlook (training can be provided)

Working hours: To be discussed at interview. Either 22.5 hours per week, 39 weeks of the year at Merstham Park School OR 36 hours per week, 39 weeks of the year across both Merstham Park School and de Stafford School
Pay Scale: Associate 2, £17,900 – £21,000 FTE
Pro-rata, for 22.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year £9,625 - £11,291
Pro-rata, for 36 hours per week, 39 weeks per year £15,399 – 18,066
