We have a brilliant opportunity for a Student mentor to join our team at The Beacon School.

Your opportunity

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Student Mentor who is passionate about the welfare and supportive learning of our schools students.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dedicated and nurturing team in supporting progress, while collaborating with our teachers to develop student learning and improve life chances.

The successful candidate will monitor and supervise our students who are internally excluded or who are completing their reintegration day, supporting the improvement of student behaviour across the school. They will be ensuring those who need support, receive this in order to show positive behaviour for learning.

What we are looking for

  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Have a proven track record in supporting students with physical and emotional well-being.
  • Have demonstrable experience in supporting students to promote positive behaviour for learning.
  • Be enthusiastic and committed to working as part of a team.
  • Be passionate about the students’ learning and welfare.
  • Be keen to be part of the wider school community, participating in extracurricular clubs.

The Details

Start Date: 1st September 2024

Pay Scale: GLF Associate 2 £21,544 - £23,363 FTE (Actual Pay £18,534 - £20,099)

Contract type: Full Time Term Time only - 36 hours per week / Permanent

Monday - Friday
