Make a Bigger Impact. Feel Valued. Grow Your Career.

Are you looking for a role where you can genuinely shape children’s futures while also developing your own career in a supportive and forward-thinking environment?

At the Gloucestershire Learning Alliance (GLA), we believe that when staff thrive, children thrive. That’s why we are committed to creating an environment where talented professionals feel supported, trusted and empowered to make a meaningful difference every day.

We are now looking for a passionate and experienced Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join our Trust-wide SEND team and help deliver life-changing outcomes for children and young people with Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN).

Why Join GLA?

Be Part of Something Bigger:

This is more than just another SaLT role. You will become part of a Trust that is deeply committed to inclusion, equity and helping every child reach their full potential. Your expertise will directly influence children’s confidence, communication and long-term success across multiple schools.

Enjoy Variety and Professional Autonomy:

You’ll have the opportunity to independently manage a specialist caseload, shape intervention strategies and work across a diverse range of school settings. No two days are the same, giving you variety, professional challenge and the chance to broaden your experience.

Work Alongside Supportive Professionals:

You’ll collaborate closely with SENCOs, teachers, leaders and external professionals who value your expertise and share your passion for improving outcomes for children. We foster a culture of teamwork, respect and continuous learning.

Influence Trust-Wide Practice:

Unlike many traditional roles, this opportunity allows you to contribute strategically to the development of speech and language provision across the Trust. Your voice, ideas and experience will help shape inclusive practice and sustainable support models across GLA schools.

Invest in Your Growth:

We are committed to developing our people. You’ll benefit from ongoing CPD, collaboration with experienced professionals, clinical supervision and opportunities to contribute to service development and innovation.

What You’ll Bring:

We’re looking for someone who is:

HCPC registered and an RCSLT member

Experienced in supporting children and young people with SLCN

Confident delivering evidence-based assessment and intervention

Passionate about inclusion and improving outcomes for children

Skilled at building positive relationships with schools and families

Organised, reflective and motivated to make a lasting impact

Join a Trust Where Your Work Truly Matters

At GLA, every role contributes to transforming children’s lives. We want every child to leave our schools feeling proud of what they have achieved and confident about their future and you could play a vital role in making that happen.

If you are ready to join a Trust that values your expertise, supports your development and gives you the opportunity to make a real difference, we would love to hear from you.
