Job Overview
We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, welcoming and well-organised Finance Assistant to work in the busy School Office at Ottershaw Christ Church C of E Junior School. In addition to assisting with general office duties, you will support the School Business Manager in the operational efficiency of the school finance and business administration functions. This role is varied and we are looking for a numerate and resourceful individual who is flexible and able to cope in a high pressure environment with frequently changing priorities. Ottershaw Christ Church Juniors is part of The Good Shepherd Trust. The Infant and Junior schools are located on two adjoining sites in the heart of the Ottershaw community. Both schools are two-form entry and have a capacity of 460 pupils plus a 26, full-time place, on-site Nursery.
Job Requirements:
- Excellent financial skills, with an eye for detail and an ability to work under pressure
- Ability to use initiative and problem solve
- Experience of administrative functions and happy to work with the school administration team to deliver services to the school community
- Excellent communication, literacy and organisational skills
- Working knowledge of IT packages
- Ability to work independently, prioritise and meet deadlines
- A can-do attitude and a good team player
- A commitment to the happiness, well-being, self-esteem and progress of everyone at the school.
What We Offer:
- Term time only working hours: 40 weeks per year (4 days/week, subject to discussion),
- A salary grade of E1 to E6: FTE salary of £22,809 to £26,974 pa, depending on experience
- An actual salary of E1 £16,619 to E6 £19,653 for 30 hours/week 40 weeks/year, depending on experience
