JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced Office Administrator who has ideally worked within a busy school office.

The ideal candidate should have excellent literacy, numeracy and IT skills and a good eye for detail. We are seeking an individual who will be a friendly and calm first point of contact for our parents/carers and visitors to the school, and who is well organised, efficient, flexible, calm, friendly, motivated and passionate about providing an excellent support service to our children, staff and visitors. Continuous training will be given to further enhance your development within the school.

 JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Be the first point of contact for parents/carers, visitors, contractors and external agencies and deal with all email, letter, telephone and face to face enquiries

• Use IT applications including Word, Excel, Publisher, Google, Outlook, website, Pupil Asset/Arbor

• Manage attendance

• Maintain effective electronic and paper filing systems, databases, spreadsheets and web content

• Assist in HR management including payroll, staff absence and CPD

• Implement the trust safer recruitment guidance, ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed, including completing DBS checks, teacher checks and references for staff, volunteers and governors

• Provide first aid to children and adults as required

• Prepare regular, high quality, newsletters and communications

• Be able to handle sensitive and confidential information paying due care with storage and transfer of this information

• Work collaboratively and effectively with others as part of a busy team

Hours: 35 per week. Term time only + 5 INSET/twilight days + 5 days during school holidays
