TA to work in Year 2 for Classroom Support

The Infant and Junior schools are located on two adjoining sites in the heart of the Ottershaw community. The schools have a capacity of 460 pupils plus a 26 full-time place, on-site nursery.
We would like to employ a Teaching Assistant in Year 2 for general classroom support who is first and foremost the right person for Ottershaw Schools. You will also be required to work collaboratively with the classteacher to meet the needs of specific children with additional learning needs.
This is a fixed term post initially (to 31st August 2023), with the possibility of further employment.
We can offer you:
- Term time only working hours (17.10 hours per week, Monday to Friday 11.55 am to 3.20 pm)
- A salary grade of B1 to B6: FTE salary £17,833 to £19,149 pa, depending on experience
- An actual salary of B1 £7,147 to B6 £7,674 for 17.10 hours per week, 38.6 weeks per year

The successful applicant will have:
- Experience of working with young children of all abilities
- An understanding of the Early Years Curriculum
- GCE or equivalent in Maths and English (essential)
- A level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Childcare/Early Years or Education (preferable)
- A level 2 NVQ or equivalent in Childcare/Early Years or Education (essential).
