Midday Supervisor
Monday - Friday - 12.30pm - 2.00 pm
Term Time Only
The Role
Gordano School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic part-time Midday Supervisor to help support effective and positive management of school lunchtimes in the dining hall, canteen, or other areas of the school as required. This is a pivotal role as the school relies on an organised, dedicated team of lunchtime supervisors to ensure the wellbeing of students.
The successful applicant will have previous experience of working in a team, ideally in a secondary school or “young person-centred” environment and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills with people at all levels and from a variety of backgrounds. You will need to be assertive, proactive, have an ability to think using your own initiative, have good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
It is important that applicants recognise the safeguarding responsibilities that all adults in schools hold, and the checks that are needed to allow all adults in school communities to work there. The role will involve contact with students in the school, and the successful applicant will need to fully understand, and undertake regular training updates on, our safeguarding protocols and how to report on these if needed.
Gordano School, which is part of the Lighthouse Schools Partnership multi-academy trust, offers a contributory pension scheme, a comprehensive employee assistance programme and benefits (offering discounts on shopping), cycle to work scheme, discounted membership to the on-site gym and on-site parking.
Closing date: midnight on Sunday 19th May 2024
Interviews: Wednesday 22nd May 2024
