The role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, talented, and highly motivated Lecturer of Economics to join our Business & Technology Learning Area at Gower College Swansea.
The successful candidate will be able to successfully teach on our A Level Economics programme and be able to deliver Economics modules upon other courses within the learning area up to Level 5. (The ability to also teach Advanced Skills Baccalaureate Wales qualification is highly desirable).

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high quality teaching and learning, effectively monitor and track learner progress, creating a positive environment to enable all learners to reach their full potential across all courses.
- To keep up to date with examination board developments and ensure all external requirements are met
- To work with the Learning Area Manager to set targets and monitor performance in recruitment, attendance, retention, attainment, and successful completion
- Applicants will have a commitment to continuous improvement, contribute effectively to curriculum development, extracurricular activity and assist with the planning and marketing of courses.
About you:
- Possess Degree in Economics or other relevant degree.
- Hold a recognised teaching qualification or willing to work towards this qualification
- Able to demonstrate highly successful experience of teaching A level Economics
- Excellent organisational skills and a team player
- Be prepared to work flexibly to meet needs of the curriculum and its learners.

Full-Time Equivalent Salary: £25,371 - £49,934 per annum per annum dependent on qualifications and experience.
