The role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, talented and highly motivated individual to teach A Level English at Gower college Swansea.

0.5 Fractional (18.5 hours per week)

Permanent

£12,685 - £24,967 per annum (depending on qualifications and/or experience)

Gorseinon Campus

Key Responsibilities:

  • To work with the team to deliver AS and A2 Level English ensuring excellence in teaching and learning across all courses.
  • To keep up to date with examination board developments and ensure all external requirements are met.
  • To work with the Curriculum Leader and Learning Area Manager to set targets and monitor performance in recruitment, attendance, retention, attainment and successful completion.

About you:

  • Possess a suitable English degree and a recognised teaching qualification (or be willing to work towards one).
  • The ability to effectively deliver and assess on all curriculum identified.
  • A very confident communicator and committed individual who can engage and inspire the A level learners.
  • Excellent organisational and problem solving skills

Full-Time Equivalent Salary: £25,371 - £49,934 per annum dependent on qualifications and experience.
