Gladstone Primary Academy
Gladstone Primary Academy opened on the 1st February 2017, replacing Gladstone Primary School. Gladstone Primary Academy is a multicultural primary school near the centre of Peterborough. The school is situated across two sites a few minutes’ walk apart, one on Gladstone Street (reception and KS1) and the other on Bourges Boulevard (KS2). Having two sites gives Gladstone Primary Academy excellent facilities, including a 4G pitch, learning centre, halls and computer rooms.
The Role
TDET are looking to appoint a Sports Coach to join the Trust Primary PE team to work across their primary academies supporting the Sports Premium Coordinator to deliver high quality, effective PE through coaching and clubs for groups of children. The successful candidate will carry out tasks including monitor and maintain sports equipment, support with planning and delivery of sports activities and improve the engagement of all pupils in regular physical activity.
The successful candidate will have the ability to inspire young children to participate in activities, be able to coordinate sport activities using their own initiative and be able to communicate with a range of different stakeholders. As this role involves travelling to different sites a driving license is essential.
