Reigate School is seeking to appoint a Sports Specialist to deliverer high quality, engaging, and age-appropriate sports coaching to students, promoting physical activity, teamwork and overall wellbeing.

The successful candidate will:

  • Deliver sports sessions, covering a variety of activities, such as football, netball, athletics, tennis, gymnastics, basketball and more
  • Work alongside the PE Subject Lead and teaching staff to develop and implement a structured and inclusive sports curriculum
  • Teach and develop key motor skills, coordination, and teamwork through engaging sports and activities
  • Organise and lead after school sports clubs, teams, and tournaments
  • Monitor and assess the progress of students in their physical education and sports development

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold a professional coaching award or multi sports qualification
  • Have experience of coaching or teaching young people aged 11–16
  • Be able to support deliver structured sports sessions or physical activity programmes
  • Be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of sport pedagogy and how to engage young people in physical activity
  • Have knowledge of safeguarding protocols and best practices when working with young people
  • Be enthusiastic, positive, and able to inspire young people

This is a part time term time position working 7.5 hours per week over 38 weeks per year (term time only).

The full time equivalent annual salary is £30,647 to £32,867. The pro rata annual salary is £5,351 to £5,739.
