Guildford County School is an exciting place to work! An opening has arisen for an organised, practical and dedicated Premises Manager. We are looking to appoint a skilled, flexible, friendly and reliable person to become our Premises Manager and take pride in the school environment. The role is crucial to the smooth running of the premises, combining the traditional caretaking role with duties for the maintenance and development of the site.
Key responsibilities of the role include managing the premises team, being one of the main key holders, general maintenance of the school and ensuring health and safety, security and cleanliness standards are upheld at all times. The role also includes responsibility for the management and day-to-day operation of all premises.
Typical hours will be 8.00am – 5.00pm.. There will be a requirement to be flexible and at times this all year round post may include early mornings, late evenings and out of hours emergency on call attendance as well as physical work outside.
You will have:
• Previous experience working in a similar role, preferably in a school setting
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and a flexible approach
• The ability to work under pressure, use initiative and manage conflicting priorities
• The ability and experience to undertake DIY tasks
• Knowledge and experience of maintenance and health and safety compliance
• Have a flexible, pro-active approach with a positive attitude
