Job Title: Assistant ALNCO (0.8)

Contract: Part time Permanent

Salary: Grade 7, £30,024 to £32,061 per annum pro rata, 4 days per week (0.8), term time only.

Start Date: As soon as possible

We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and motivated part‑time Assistant ALNCo to join our supportive team and play a key role in strengthening provision for learners with Additional Learning Needs (ALN).

About the Role

Working closely with the ALNCo and Deputy Headteacher, the successful candidate will take a leading role in supporting pupils’ academic, social and emotional development. This is a highly rewarding post for someone who is passionate about inclusion, safeguarding and making a genuine difference to young people’s lives.

Key responsibilities include:

Co‑ordinating the ALN team to deliver a range of targeted intervention and support programmes that promote pupils’ academic and social progress

Monitoring and evaluating the impact of interventions, including Universal Learning Provision (ULP) and bespoke programmes

Taking a lead on ALN administration and review processes, as agreed with the Deputy Headteacher and ALNCo

Working as the school's access arrangements assessor. Liaising with our exams officer to ensure our pupils with additional learning needs (ALN) are supported fairly and effectively in accessing exams and assessments.
