Grade 5 | 16 hours per week | £26,403–£27,254 per annum (full-time equivalent), pro rata for part-time hours

Gwernyfed High School is seeking to appoint a dedicated, proactive and hardworking Site Supervisor to join our committed team. This is a key role in ensuring our school site is safe, secure, and maintained to the highest possible standard for our pupils, staff and wider community.

Working Pattern: Thursdays and Fridays: 11:00am – 7:30pm including 30 minute lunch

As a Site Supervisor, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day operational management of the school premises. You will undertake caretaking and cleaning services, ensuring a high standard of maintenance, safety and presentation across the site.

Key responsibilities include:

Ensuring the security of the site, including locking/unlocking and responding to alarms

Carrying out health and safety checks and maintaining compliance with statutory requirements

Supporting the maintenance and repair of buildings and grounds

Undertaking daily caretaking and cleaning tasks as required

Maintaining outdoor areas, ensuring they are safe, clean and well presented

Supporting the management and use of the school minibus (training provided if required)

Responding promptly to issues to ensure the site remains a safe and welcoming environment

You will take pride in maintaining the school to an excellent standard and ensuring it is a place where pupils can learn and thrive.

Has experience in general maintenance, cleaning or site management

Can work both independently and as part of a team

Has strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach
