7.45am-3.45pm KS2 Apprenticeship Learning Support Assistant (training position for a Level 3 qualification)

This is a fixed term contract for a training placement for a period of 24 months. Actual dates of employment will be confirmed during the offer stage.

The candidate will work in a KS2 year group.

Hours of work

36 hours per week, 7.45am-3.45pm on Mondays to Thursdays and 7.45am-3.30pm on Fridays, term time only (38 weeks).

These hours include 6 hours per week 'off the job' time on a day/time agreed by the college and the school.

£11, 314 actual salary.

Salary will increase during the second year of apprenticeship if aged 18 years or older.


Do you enjoy working with children and want to support children in their learning whilst working to gain a qualification in supporting teaching and learning in schools?

We are pleased to offer a fixed term apprenticeship training vacancy for a Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification.

This placement will be to work as a Learning Support Assistant within a KS2 year group at our school.

The training will be provided by Sutton College, a local training provider. The training will be work based and therefore will not require attendance at a college. There will be regular opportunities to meet with the training provider throughout the duration of the placement and training hours are included in the 'off the job' times above.

We are looking for a practitioner who:

  • Has at least five GCSEs Grades 9-4/A* to C, or equivalent, including English and mathematics.
