General School Assistant Apprentice - to start September 2024

to work at Hackbridge Primary School

Start Date: September 2024

Hours of Work: 36 hours per week, 7:45am-3:45pm, Monday to Friday, term time only. 

Salary: starting salary of £13,500 (FTE) per annum, rising to NMW/NLW in the second year of apprenticeship according to age

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a general school assistant to join our small, friendly team. We are seeking to recruit a positive, enthusiastic person with a commitment to our ethos, vision and values. 

This role will involve supporting pupils in the breakfast club and at lunchtime, as well as supporting the administration team with daily tasks.

The successful candidate will be flexible, hardworking, show initiative, have a good sense of humour, work well as part of a team and be willing to undertake training.

Hackbridge Primary School and Spencer Nursery School have been part of the community for over 100 years and have been federated together since 2016.  We are based across 3 school sites; Spencer Nursery School, Hackbridge Primary School - Hackbridge Corner and Hackbridge Primary School - London Road.  All three sites are within short walking distance of each other and staff work collaboratively across all sites.  We provide care and education from 0-11 years.
