Upper Key Stage 2 LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT (to include lunchtime supervision)

18 hours per week

11:05am-3:00pm, with a 25-minute break, Monday to Friday during term time, plus one additional 30-minute liaison time per week on a day/time set by the school (on the teacher's PPA day)

Please note that hours of work can be changed to suit the business needs of the school with a month's notice.

Salary: £10,833 - £11,497 actual salary  (£25,854-£27,438 FTE), 


The opportunity:

We are looking for an experienced Learning Support Assistant to join our happy and successful staff team as we continue our expansion to become four forms of entry over the next two academic years.

Through our creative curriculum we aim to prepare pupils to move confidently and happily through each stage of their education, enabling them to become lifelong learners.

We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to support children in upper Key Stage 2. The successful candidate will be positive and enthusiastic, with a commitment to our ethos, vision and values. This role is to support children during learning time both in-class and delivering specific interventions to groups, as well as being part of our midday supervision team during lunchtimes.

You should:

• Hold an NVQ Level 2 or above in Specialist Teaching & Learning Support, Teaching & Learning Support, Childcare Learning & Development or equivalent.
• Have good literacy and numeracy skills - equivalent to at least Basic Skills Level 2/GCSE (4-9 /A*-C) in English & Maths.
• Have experience of working with primary aged children and the ability to demonstrate high quality phonics teaching and support.
