The Role

An opportunity has arisen at Two Mile Hill Primary School for an enthusiastic and committed Classroom Teacher to join our team and contribute positively to our wider school environment by taking a key role in delivering high quality lessons for our pupils.

You’ll provide a supportive and welcoming learning environment in the classroom, play a significant part in the ongoing development of all areas of the children’s education, and put assessment techniques into practice in line with the school’s ethos and principles. In order to deliver teaching and learning at a consistently high level, you’ll help with lesson planning that achieves the needs of all students.

We are looking for someone who

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Demonstrates excellent classroom practice and strong subject and curriculum knowledge.
  • Has experience of planning for a wide range of needs and abilities within an inclusive environment.
  • Effectively uses assessment and pupil progress data to improve outcomes and inform teaching.
  • Provides an ambitious learning environment where every child can succeed.
  • Shows commitment and passion for raising aspirations and achieving the best outcomes for pupils.
  • Demonstrates professional growth through engagement with research, evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development.
  • Forms positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, parents and the wider school community.
  • Has high expectations of learning, behaviour and achievement.
  • Enjoys working collaboratively as part of a supportive and creative team.
  • Is willing to contribute to the wider life of the school.
  • Brings enthusiasm, resilience and a desire to make a positive difference to children's lives.

Fluency Duty

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to converse at ease with pupils, parents and other users and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
